About the Client
Uniistyles is a popular marketplace app that is being used by the end-users to get cosmetic, beauty, and wellness products and services on demand.
Uniistyles is an idea to help small salon businesses to come forward, promote their products/services, and increase their outreach through this marketplace platform. On the other hand, the end-users get to see a wide spectrum of products and services that helps them in choosing the best. The client’s goal was to deliver a quick and seamless experience to buy & sell cosmetic & wellness products/services.
Project Objectives
Based on the discussions with the client from USA, a marketplace app with nearby stores display, product categorization, custom and advanced search options was meant to be developed. A driver’s app was meant to be made for the delivery boys.
A powerful and dynamic backend was needed to streamline the app users, orders, and customers. The admin will manage customers, store owners, drivers, and all other information from their web backend panel.
The Challenge
The client wanted to integrate a custom order placement engine with the integration of an algorithm that leads drivers to receive new orders based on their time-driven delivery capabilities. The plan was to achieve maximum driver’s response rate, order acceptance ratio, delivery ratio, etc. This was to ensure the fastest deliveries possible and increase the platform’s reliability.
The mobile app developers at Bytes Technolab had to brainstorm to come up with a strategic and robust solution to meet custom marketplace requirements.
The Solution
We categorized this marketplace mobile app development project into milestones. We recommended using React Native to develop a cross-platform marketplace app to target both, Android and iOS users.
To keep things simple, we simplified the process of product categorization. Only admins can set/add/manage global category/subcategories. Store owners can list products details on their own by selecting category/subcategories.
The mobile app development team decided to use and integrate multiple APIs to streamline the complexities. We were using google place API, google routes API and Google Place API. An assigned driver will not get another order before a successful delivery. If a driver fails to accept an order request within a 30-second window, the request passes on to another nearest driver.
Once drivers finish the delivery, their availability will be enabled to get the new delivery requests and fetch the last delivery location. The system will update the respective status about order and delivery status.
