Problem Statement
As demands expanded, a cutting-edge and scalable website was needed to reflect their caliber. However, the old eCommerce website was outdated with static layout, poor navigation, and slow page loading speed. These factors all significantly affected the conversion rates. The client wanted a complete revamp and redesign of the website with zero downtime.
Challenges
- An outdated design slowed down engagement and platform experience among modern users.
- The existing URL structure lacked organization and clarity, making it difficult for search engines to index key product pages and hurting overall visibility.
- The platform had performance issues, especially during product navigation.
- Migrating products, customer records, and historical orders from the active site to a new platform had to be executed flawlessly, without disrupting ongoing operations.
Solution
- A new UI design was crafted that focused on clarity, scientific credibility, and easy access to category-based product pages (lipids, peptides, bioassay kits, proteins, and antibodies).
- We implemented WooCommerce not only for catalog management but also for powerful eCommerce capabilities. Products are now easy to browse, filter, and purchase—whether by credit card or purchase order (PO).
- We enabled secure payment processing, allowing users to complete transactions using credit cards or submit purchase orders, depending on their procurement process.
- All existing product, user, and content data were migrated to the new platform with 100% uptime. We validated every entry to maintain accuracy across categories and SKUs.
