About the Client
Collect Aura is the oldest card grading establishment in Europe devoted to certifying and grading cards of Harry Potter, Pokemon, etc. The client wanted to enhance their services by building a full-fledged eCommerce platform for a larger chunk of end-users.
The vision behind this is to become the European market leader, remain in continuous growth and development, and always ensure excellent services to their customers.
Project Objectives
The main objective of this engagement for Bytes Technolab eCommerce expert team was to build a solution that helps customers select the authorized card from the database and services. Services could be qualified, protected, and graded the newly played and torn cards, and they will get the graded card back from the Collect Aura team.
This includes building a Grading UI from scratch to show the end-users detailed graphical information about the damages on the cards with an acute grading scale. Grading UI was supposed to be integrated with the eCommerce platform.
The Challenge
The client needed the platform storage and performance capacity of 400,000 cards in four different languages. To accommodate such a huge database of cards, graphics, and customer data, we had to design an architecture that provides powerful performance.
Integration of custom-built Grading UI to instill a sense of trust and reliability was the challenge. Customers shall see every bit of grading information after purchasing the cards. Details from every angle (vertical, horizontal, center), annotation drawing details, and graded details like corners grade, center grade, average grade, and other parameters from the specific JSON File were meant to be shown.
The Solution
After a collaborative project discovery phase with the client, we built Magento 2 eCommerce front-end. This will help a large number of clients to select the cards and avail of other offered grading services. An authentication module was developed and integrated for the eligibility of the card to prove its genuineness.
The team created JSON file based on the serial and placed order numbers, operated in Grading UI, written and developed in Node.js. Grading UI and Collect Aura platforms are connected with the specific JSON file. This helped to fetch all details from Grading UI and forward them to the Magento 2 front-end of Collect Aura. We built a powerful admin backend in Node.js to manage cards, customers, purchases, and import/export data in CSV files.

- Admin can manage the cards by card types, card colors, language, series, expansion, and card editions from the admin panel.
- Admin can export the order details in a CSV file. Also, the admin can change or modify the customer’s order from the admin panel.

Well, with this new solution, Collect Aura achieved its milestone of business revenue by 60% and market reach by 40% in the first month. Also, with the modern UI/UX, the overall brand value has significantly grown and users are simply loving it.
