About the Client
A luxury property management and vacation rental company offering booking and maintenance services for 100+ properties. They also help these properties to integrate Samsung smart devices.
LQAM also provides services innovative services like smart automation and management through a customized dashboard.
Project Objectives
LQAM came to us and explained the business idea. We strategically planned out our idea into an LQAM product with the connection of three external 3rd party platforms (SmartThings, LMPM, Breezeway).
Our team was responsible to prepare and design a software architecture that covers every business logic to make it work as per the customer requirements.
The Challenge
To manage the smart devices remotely via a dashboard, especially with NO Documentation about the devices, SmartThings platform integration was the critical part. Why? Because all the existing smart devices were installed at remote locations, that made real-time testing nearly impossible. Another challenge was to do mapping between the two other 3rd-party property management software – LMPM & Breezeway.
The Solution
We started with getting a proper understanding of the business requirements and limitations so we can try to overcome those through a custom solution. We decided to go with React.js for the frontend and Node.js for backend technology.
We have prepared architecture for the database to manage LMPM, breezeway, and SmartThings data into our database with regular interval synchronization from that platform.
Our expert web development team also crafted and built an admin dashboard. It was designed to manage property owners, property linking with owner, reservation, maintenance with comment feature, link smart thing location to property, etc.
Highlights
- SmartThings Integration for smart-enabled connected homes
- LMPM platform integration for property and reservation management
- Breezeway integration to monitor & manage maintenance services
- Maintaining the 3rd-party platforms’ data and mapping among each other
- Impersonate feature in admin panel
- Auto-deploy backend and frontend code on AWS server

Results
The traffic is constantly rising on the website and the same applies to revenue. Our IoT experts and web developers merged up to interconnect three independent systems, LMPM, Breezeway, and LQAM to fulfill business requirements for efficient decision-making of users. The system was deployed within the deadline without any technical glitches. Currently, the client is discussing phase-2 to bring mobility solutions into it.
