In the realm of online shopping, the owner of a small fashion accessories store opted to enhance their WooCommerce store by migrating it to a more advanced eCommerce platform such as Magento 2. The online store is poised to present a diverse range of products, encompassing bags, earrings, jewelry, hair accessories, hats & headwear, ID badge reels, and more.

Project Objectives

The client chose Magento 2 as the eCommerce platform for their store due to its reputation for reliability, robustness, and user-friendliness. Additionally, they aimed to integrate payment options such as After Pay, Zip Pay, and Stripe. Given that the store would be shipping products across Australia and New Zealand, they also required seamless integration with leading logistics partners. Finally, they needed to create a left sidebar menu.

Objective

The Challenge

First and foremost, the most significant challenge was constructing an entire store from scratch using the Magento 2 theme and incorporating the necessary functionalities within a short timeframe. Following that, the task of seamlessly integrating payment and shipping functionalities presented another set of challenges. Subsequently, the client expressed the desire to implement a custom-built product zoom feature that activates upon hovering, which introduced its own unique challenges.

The Solution

After carefully reviewing the requirements, our eCommerce experts opted for the Magento 2 theme due to its feature-rich nature and ability to provide faster loading speeds. Subsequently, the team chose to incorporate a product zoom feature that magnifies the product when it is hovered over. Following that, the development team constructed a custom sidebar displaying the home menu, categories, newsletter, contact us page, and more.
