About the Client
Casabella Furniture is a UK-based family omnichannel family business selling high-quality solid wood furniture and accessories, started back in 2005. They have had an eCommerce store powered by the older Magento 1 that was outdated in recent years.
The client reached us by exploring our eCommerce expertise and experience, especially in Magento 2 migration and development. A full-fledged transformation was expected in all aspects, from design to development.
Project Objectives
The main goal was to revamp their existing Magento 1 eCommerce store by migrating it to Magento 2, deliver a fresh look and feel through UI/UX redesign and development.
Some of the recommended functionalities to be included by our business experts are Trustpilot, Instagram feed, and ERP integration for managing orders, inventory, and shipment.
Ever since the introduction of Magento 2 in 2015, some of the coolest functionalities stopped being compatible with Magento 1. This automatically puts a limitation on the online retail store and the business was getting affected.
The existing online furniture retail store powered by Magento 1 was in dire need of redesign and rebuilding by migrating it to the latest Magento 2.
The Challenge
To re-establish the branding with extensive functionalities within a stringent timeline was an uphill task for our Magento 2 dev team. As there were some custom logic and functionalities to be implemented to meet the client’s expectations, we had to put the end-users in the center of everything to ensure ultimate online shopping experiences.
The Solution
Our Magento experts analyzed the existing store at first. The project team was defined and brainstorming sessions were held to come up with a strategic plan to design, migrate, develop, and deploy a fully-functional Magento 2 powered eCommerce Store.
