The client is a leading real estate service provider in South Africa with a large number of customer base registered with them. Their service provides a template for property hunters  agents and real estate owners. As it merges every client profile on this integrated real property management tool, everyone interested in the property dealings loves to collaborate on this tool for property for sale in South Africa. For years, the client has been serving its customers and made a good name in this industry.

The Challenge

For our client, the dedicated customer service adds value to the customer proposition. To maximize the true value of customer experience, it needed to enable search functions properly and without any hitch. Being a high-performing residential portal management, it must offer easy property search for buy or rent. Customers looking for houses for rent also find it useful to search for appropriate properties as per needs. Enabling active and accurate searches in the real estate property portal is critical that offers a great length of competitive advantage. But, of late, an analytics report suggests clients are leaving the site. The further report analyzed the customer grievance cells which pointed at poor user experience on the portal for inaccuracy property search results.

 

It found neither buyers nor renters had an advantage over its search action. The tool lacked in offering a more modern and user friendly experience. The customers putting in specific property terms did not receive the results they needed. Besides, it also missed search filter functionality. As a part of re-engineering the search function, we came up with a redesign concept to speed the search process.

Our team designers and developers immersed in the redesign process and unleashed their efforts to contextualize how the property search can be redesigned. To provide the real-time search results, we took into consideration different complex factors like location, area, price, and property description. Each property search should be accurate and particular among hundreds of listings. Here, we needed to look after ways to decrease the complexity burden off the search action.

 

Our team of dedicated designers collaborated with developers and put through processes to ensure the objective of the project is met successfully.

 

To create that criterion, we had set up a plant to have a user-friendly and advanced search for property hunting in the web portal. We paid attention to details such as auto-suggest locations, fast search, and broad match. Using a Solr search API, we were successful to enable this feature for the client in their property management portal.

 

At Bytes Technolab, we ensured to wrap the project in a short duration with a strong emphasis on the UI so as to increase theefficiency of the property management portal, generate interests in customers and intrigue them to go for the online real estateauction. The whole idea is to enhance the efficiency of the web application portal and also improve customer retention.

 

Our UI designers put into better efforts in re-engineering its design and customer-like look and feel. At the backend operation,  we ensured to place on the site of the home page so that it can get the attention of the users and influence members to do a property search. While working in the backend, we carefully watched to put in resources like advanced search attributes, search location suggestions, and filtering options. As soon as we configured the Solr search function, the property management web portal regained its value and appeared in the most stunning look.
