Built a Subscription and User Portal for Fireworks Design Software

Selling software subscriptions required more than a standard eCommerce website. Finale 3D needed a connected portal where customers could purchase licenses, manage subscriptions, access software information, and participate in an active user community.

• A connected customer portal was developed using WordPress and Easy Digital Downloads to sell Finale 3D software licenses and subscription plans. Stripe and PayPal integrations allowed customers to purchase the plan best suited to their requirements through secure payment journeys.
• The user dashboard brought all subscription-related activities into one place. Customers could review active, inactive, or canceled subscriptions, renew or cancel plans, update payment methods, and access their complete transaction history.
• Custom integrations connected the portal with the Finale Fireworks server. This enabled users to view assigned licenses, transfer them to other users, check machine status, and reset device access using current data from the software platform.
• Administrative tools gave the Finale 3D team control over subscriptions, products, customer orders, and catalog information. Orders could be modified when required, while transaction data could be exported in CSV format for operational use.
• The platform also introduced community forums, monthly photo contests, voting, winner announcements, and a Pyro Points reward system. These features encouraged users to share their work, participate in discussions, and stay engaged beyond software purchases.
• The portal was deployed on WP Engine and supported through ongoing testing, maintenance, and technical improvements.

Finale 3D gained a centralized digital platform that connected software sales, licensing, account management, and community participation. The solution helped Finale 3D strengthen its digital product experience, improve customer convenience, and generate greater subscription revenue within the initial months following launch.
