About the Client
The client, who specializes in 3D printed machinery, induction equipment, and more, had an existing online store that was constructed on an outdated platform. As a result, the client was seeking a robust and scalable platform that could handle significant traffic and a large database.
Project Objectives
The client sought to transition from their outdated platform to a robust and reliable one like Magento 2. Additionally, they required a complete redesign of the outdated site. Furthermore, they needed to incorporate new functionalities such as payment integration and the integration of logistics partners.
The Challenge
One challenge involved upgrading the data to the latest version of Magento 2 because doing so changed everything from the codebase to the structural level of the front-end. Another challenge was regarding the quotation syncing. Additionally, the client relied on an outdated method for generating reports, which made the process very tedious.
The Solution
During the upgrade to the latest version of Magento 2, the developers had to actively work on the codebase and create numerous test cases to guarantee error-free and the highest quality of code.
