“Jobs fill your pockets, adventures fill your soul.”
So, to fill our souls and escape from the burden of corporate responsibilities for a while, Bytes Technolab planned a scenic trip to the beautiful Silvassa!
For the trip, a committee was formed that included 7 teams. And it was organized jointly with an HR team. The purpose behind this was to make sure that all of us could enjoy by delegating the responsibilities. And boy, it really paid off. Without wasting any time, let us sneak into the best bits and pieces of this incredible journey to Silvassa.
The Journey Begins…
We are just back from our awesome Silvassa trip that was announced a month ago on June 26th. And we are pretty excited to share the glimpses with you.
So on an overcast Friday, after the office hours, it was a plan to leave for Silvassa around midnight. We organized 3 buses (keeping comfort in mind) and assigned 2 pickup points (Bytes office and CTM crossroad) as per everyone’s convenience. And then we were on our way to the destination; The Beautiful Silvassa!
We were pretty excited! And as soon as we hit the road, we started singing and dancing and also enjoyed the weather too. All in all, everyone was vibing, and just enjoyed the journey on the way! And by 3 am everyone was exhausted and most of them slept as it was going to be a big day tomorrow.
The Next Morning…
The next day, we stopped at a hotel near Chikli for breakfast. Everyone was feeling fresh and energetic, especially after having a lot of fun on the way. The weather in the morning was absolutely pleasant. In fact, the morning showers and drizzles were perfect for a Gujarati breakfast with hot tea and coffee. After clicking some photos, chirping with each other for a while, we were back on the road towards the destination.
Warm Welcoming
And around 11:30 am we reached our destination: The Pluz Resort. Talking about the resort, it was located right in the middle of a jungle, surrounded by plush mango grooves. It had all the amenities that you can imagine. From swimming pools to gaming rooms, banquet halls to huge dining areas, and spacious standard rooms to executive quadruple rooms. And even a children’s play area!
When we reached the resort, we were greeted by their wonderful staff with welcome drinks. After that, we were given the keys to the rooms. We got freshened and were ready for a pool party! We jumped in the pool and started splashing water on one another. We were playing and dancing and enjoying ourselves as if there was no tomorrow!
Some of them were playing in the pool and some chose to relax by the pool, while others explored the resort, clicking pictures for their social media! Time ran so fast that we didn’t notice it was already lunchtime. We changed quickly and gathered at their dining area for lunch. It was a buffet lunch. They served us 2 types of Punjabi sabji, 2 types of roti, dal-fry, jeera rice, papad, salad, and buttermilk (I know your mouth is watering too). Yes, it was yummy and delicious.
After that, we were ready for a short photo session. Since everyone was in beautiful attire, we clicked a lot of pictures (some of them you can see below). At 4 PM we enjoyed high tea/coffee with lip-smacking snacks.
The Party…
Then at 5:30, we were all ready to rock the stage! We were introduced to Sikha: our anchor of the evening! She began with a small warm-up session so that everyone can gel up and get to know each other better as there were many new additions to the Bytes family recently.
Sikha took over the stage and began with the first game of the night i.e. Hula hoop. Everyone participated with enthusiasm and started swinging the hula rings to maintain it on their waist. It was really fun to watch them swinging the hula rings.
Moving on, she then introduced another game i.e. passing the parcel, but with a twist. The twist was instead of passing an object, it was done with a human! Yes, you have read it right! 4 teams were to sit in a straight line and as the whistle was blown, one member was passed from one to another within a given time limit. To our surprise, Jigar Jariwala’s team won this game!
Then it was time for another game where every team member was given a cup and they had to keep it on their head and walk towards the finish line without dropping it. Just like the spoon and lemon game that you used to play in school. What a game it was!
After that, Sikha made everyone blow balloons and had us tie them to our feet. And then instructed us to keep them safe as the game was to burst the balloons while keeping yours safe! Everyone started tapping their legs onto others’ balloons, while some were running to save them!
Also, these games were not just for entertainment, but winners were selected amongst them and were rewarded with special gift hampers as well! Then there was a lip sync game where one has to wear headphones and guess the song that the other one is murmuring.
And yes, there was a tug-of-war as well between Bhavesh sir and Mahendrabhai. As they started pulling each other, more employees kept joining and now the floor was turned into a warzone! Everyone was pulling each other to win this game! While others were cheering Bhavesh sir and Mahendrabhai and recording this moment.
Then the DJ stepped in and started playing music, everyone was on the dance floor and were dancing their hearts out. There were some employees who were shy at first but after some encouragement, they jumped in and started showing their special moves like Saklen, Ravi, Chetan, and Suraj. They started the ‘Naagin’ dance and everyone then followed them. Even the anchor encouraged the HR team to show them their special moves!
And when in Gujarat, how can we forget about Garba? So, in the end, everyone started doing Garba. We played ‘tran taali’, ‘sanedo’, ‘dodhiyu’, and other forms of garba!
Everyone was exhausted from dancing and doing Garba. All in all, they enjoyed it a lot. We thanked the host of the night: Ms Sikha and presented her with a special gift hamper.
Then we had a tasty dinner which included mouth-watering delicacies like Pani-puri, Manchurian, and more!
Even after eating such a heavy meal, some employees got recharged and started dancing in the hotel lobby too!
The Return
After a long and exhausting night party, we woke up at 8 am and had breakfast. Then we checked out at around 8:30 am and gathered in the lobby to take a group photo in our official tees. By 10 am we boarded the bus and had lunch on the way near Bharuch and reached our home by 8:30 in the evening.
Our director Bhavik sir specially thanked everyone and said, “Would like to thank everyone for being part of the most memorable trip. Would like to take a moment to convey special thanks to team members who had been forefront throughout.
All committee members, led by Rishabh, Rashmi, and, Maitrey, appreciate your support and Keep up the good work. Will have many more trips and events.

Thanks once again to each and every one…”
And with that, our trip ended with a lot of smiles, memories, and fun activities. Although, this was just a small glimpse at what we at Bytes Technolab do.
