Ahmedabad, Gujarat, June 6, 2025: What do you get when you mix Gujarati flavors, friendly competition, a splash of tradition, and much love? That’s right, the Bytes Food Festival 2025! And let us tell you, it was nothing short of a grand thali of joy, colors, and community spirit!
This year, the much-awaited culinary celebration returned with the heartwarming theme, “Sugandh Gujarat Ni – Flavors of Togetherness,” and boy, it delivered! From lip-smacking chaats to refreshing summer coolers, our cafeteria was transformed into a mini Gujarat, buzzing with energy, aroma, and culture.
What Was on the Menu?
Our incredibly spirited chef didn’t just serve food, they served vibes. Each of the seven amazing teams brought their A-game with creative stalls, witty banters, and flavor-packed menus:
- Team 1: Amdavadi Heat Beat
Kicking off the summer coolers: Jamun Shots, Mint Mojito, Lemon Soda, and classic Lassi & Chhas! This stall was the go-to oasis for everyone battling the (delicious) heat.
- Team 2: Teen Tadka
Living up to their name, they brought the perfect tadka of taste with Bhungda Bateta, Dahi Wada, and Chana Chor Garam - the crunchy crowd-pleasers!
- Team 3: Jamnagar Delight
There was an explosion of street food flavors: ghugra, sev puri, Cheese Bhel, and more! Their stall was as colorful as their chatpata menu.
- Team 4: Anna’s Idliu Corner
South Indian meets Gujarat! Idlis and Meduvadas found themselves perfectly at home with local foodies.
- Team 5: Svaad Ni Savari
This team served pure nostalgia in every bite from Desi-Aloo kurmura to spicy khichu and the most popular cooling drink, sharbatt-e-mohabbat.
- Team 6: Pol Ni Panipuri
What’s a Gujarati food fest without pani puri? Add dahi puri and sev puri to the mix, and you’ve got a line that never ends!
- Team 7: Mukhvas
Ending on a sweet note, Imli Goli, Anar Dana, Kharek, and Kaccha Aam sticks had us all munching our way into contentment.
More Than Just Food
Of course, it wasn’t just about eating. Every team decorated their stalls, created fun slogans, and marketed their dishes like true professionals. There were laughs, friendly teasing, and loads of energy. The healthy competition brought out the best in everyone, making the whole event lively and fun!
Food with a Purpose
Here’s the best part: every coupon sold went to a charity. So while we enjoyed all the yumminess, we also gave back to the community. And yes, the top-earning stalls also won exciting rewards for their efforts!
Dressed to Impress
Our cafeteria looked like a mini village fair! Everyone dressed in Bandhani and Gamthi outfits, proudly showing off blue and pink colors. The silver oxidized jewelry, jhumkas, and desi vibes made it feel like a festival from Gujarat.
And just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better, we danced! Yes, the event ended on a high-energy Garba session that brought everyone together. Twirls, claps, and smiles filled the room. It was the perfect way to wrap up a perfect day.
